Those 72 points scored or assisted on were the most all-time in a conference or division finals playoff game, per ESPN Stats & Info. In Game 1, the Hawks All-Star scored or assisted on a whopping 72 of his team’s 116 points. With his 48 points and 11 assists at only 22 years old, Young became the youngest player in NBA history to record at least 40 points and at least 10 assists in a conference finals or division finals playoff game. After such an unforgettable performance to deliver Atlanta a 116-113 victory to open up the conference finals, it’s only right that we take a look at five remarkable stats from his incredible game.
